PHP Hello, World! Basic Print Script

Every programming language has it—the basic Hello, World! script.  PHP is no exception. It is a simple script that only  displays the words Hello, World!  The phrase has become a  tradition for new programmers who are writing their first program. Its first known usage was in B.W. Kernighans 1972 A Tutorial Introduction to the Language B, and it was popularized in his The C Programming Language.  From this beginning, it grew into a tradition in the programming world. So, how do you write this most basic of computer programs in PHP? The two simplest ways are using  print and  echo, two similar statements  that are more or less the same. Both are used to output data to the screen. Echo is slightly faster than print. Print has a return value of 1, so it can be used in expressions, while echo has no return value. Both statements can contain HTML markup. Echo can take multiple parameters; print takes one argument. For the purposes of this example, they are equal. ?php Print Hello, World!;php Echo Hello, World!;? In each of these two examples, the ?php indicates the start of a PHP tag and the ? indicates an exit from PHP. These entrance and exit tags identify the code as PHP, and they are used on all PHP coding.   PHP is  server-side software that is used to enhance the features of a web page. It works seamlessly with HTML to add features to a website that HTML alone cant deliver, such as surveys, login screens, forums, and shopping carts. However, it leans on HTML for their appearance on the page. PHP is open-source software, free on the web, easy to learn, and powerful. Whether you already have a website and are familiar with HTML or you are just entering web design and development, it is time to learn more about beginning PHP programming.

â€Å"Every production of an artist should be the expression of an adventure of his soul,† said William Maugham, a British playwright from the 19th century. Vincent Van Gogh, an artist who is considered by many one of the most inspirational artists in history, was no stranger to depicting his struggles in life or feelings in his work. Van Gogh’s piece Starry Night, designed in the year 1889, shows this to be true in that it was the result of his experiences in an asylum that encouraged this piece. Despite this work has being so well known, many critics and observers of the piece have differing views on what he was trying to communicate through it. Two prime examples of this can be seen by the views expressed in the poems entitled, â€Å"Vincent† and â€Å"The Starry Night†, written by Don McClean and Anne Sexton, respectively. While the poem â€Å"Vincent†, has a depressing tone to it, â€Å"The Starry Night†, by Anne Sexton, depicts Starry N ight as having a more lively mood, which more accurately represents that of the painting, by Vincent Van Gogh. Within the poem â€Å"Vincent†, written by Don McClean, a sense of a depressing mood is created through the use of dark diction, detail and figurative language. Throughout his poem, McClean expresses some of his thoughts, on Starry Night, by incorporating words like, â€Å"no hope† as well as â€Å"suffering†. Along with this, at one point in the poem he says, â€Å"the silver thorn of bloody rose lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow†. The region today bears the weight of a terribly chaotic past and the most uncertain future. Nobody really knows or can predict the future of the state that can be the most resourceful and progressive independent state. People live by the day, taking what comes by. The political system here lies in a total shameful condition with the assembly being run by aimless and pointless bunch of goons whose only perspective to amass as much wealth as they can while they remain in power. My article here is inspired by my visit to one of the prominent government hospitals of the region known as GB Pant Cantonment General Hospital located at Sonawar, Srinagar. Please do take time to browse through the pictures that I managed to click of the neonatal intensive care unit that had about 35 + babies kept under incubation for various medical conditions and believe me some really critical. I saw the entire ward being managed by just one duty doctor who from his look seemed most inexperienced and unskilled to dispense the right medical course to these ailing babies. I happened to ask him if there was a senior doctor available and was snubbed and told that its was none of my business. I went on to click some more pictures of the ward and was threatened with dire consequences if I didn’t stop and get out. Anyways as I walked out into the parking lot I met a few anxious fathers of babies that were new born and ailing and was shocked to know their state. I was told that being a government hospital doctors would charge money from them and stop all treatment if they were denied of the money quoted and if one didn’t have money they would even go onto stop attending to the patients. Furthermore what was shocking is that this hospital was in the news about 3 months ago for 500 deaths of newborn babies and children below 5 years of age. I happened to witness the death of a child right at the time when I was leaving the hospital after having dropped off a neighbor whose child was admitted just then. There needs to be some sort of a reprimand to sanitize the hospital administration to create a healthy, modern and apt facility. The irony here is that the cabinet health minister: Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad hails from this region and yet his backyard suffers at the misery of such pitiable healthcare facilities. Strangely the hospital is the only one of its kind for children with no other option for one to choose from. Kindly take note of the pictures attached to see for yourself the heart wrecking state of the prime most amenity for any society. Kudos to Mr. Omar Abdullah way to go. Hurricane Essay On July 17, 1966, in Paterson, NJ, Rubin Hurricane Essay Carter was contending for the heavyweight boxing title, when, one night, he was pulled over and suspected of a murder. There was no evidence or witnesses to prove the Hurricane guilty, but the cops needed somebody to blame; so they fixed the trial, and Rubin received the short end of the stick. He was put away for life for a crime he didnt commit. This is a true story. The song was written by Bob Dylan to bring Rubins situation to the public. Rubin Carter was a black man; so many people, including judges and cops, just turned their head. The Hurricanes verdict was changed after nineteen years in prison. He is now trying to live the life that was taken from him. Dylans song, The Hurricane explains how Rubin Carter was proven innocent, but found guilty. Shots were fired, and a triple murder was committed. Two people were at the scene, Patty Valentine and a man, but there were no witnesses. The man next to the bodies said, I was only robbin the register, I hope you understand. Somehow this burglar is not suspected of the murder. The number one contender for the heavyweight title is not even near the shootings. It says Meanwhile, far away in another part of town, Rubin and a couple of friends are drivn around. But he was pulled over anyway just like the before and the time before that. In Paterson, thats just the way things go. If youre black you might as well not show up on the street less you wanna draw the heat. People were very racist back then, and therefore a black man was always suspected before a white man. The police are at the scene gathering information. The burglar and his partner said they saw two middleweights running, and Patty Valentine agreed with them. A cop sees that the bartenders not dead, and though this man could hardly see they told him he could identify the guilty man. The cops have to find a person to blame, and even though it doesnt say it in the song, Rubin has had trouble with the Chief of Police when he was younger. Rubin is hauled to the hospital, so that the bartender could identify him. The wounded man looks up through his one dyin eye, says, whad you bring him in here for? He aint the guy! Rubin should no longer be involved in this murder. He was cleared by the only witness, and he had no reason to kill anyone. Four months later Rubin is in South America, and the burglar and his friend are in trouble. The cops are looking for someone to blame. Remember that murder that happened in a bar? Remember you said you saw the getaway car? You think youd like to play ball with the law? Think it might-a been that fighter that you saw runnin that night? Dont forget that you are white. This is a big part of the song. If the cops dont force these men to lie, Rubin would have never even gone to court. The cops keep harassing the burglars. Now you dont wanta have to go back to jail, be a nice fellow. They are afraid that Rubin will get away from a conviction. That sonofabitch is brave and getting braver. We want to put his ass in stir. We want to pin this triple murder on him. The chief thinks the Hurricane is a trouble maker, and he is determined to put Rubin away for this crime. Rubin was a great boxer, but he wanted to get somewhere with his life. Where the trout streams flow and the air is nice, and ride a horse along a trail.
